Restaurant Style Paneer Masala Recipe – This version of the recipe is one of the favourite recipes in the Vegetarian Section. Although we can make our own paneer by curdling milk, I have used branded paneer.

Ingredients
- 200 gms. Paneer
- 8 tbsp. Oil – 8 tbsp.
- 1 bowl Onions
- 3 tbsp. Cashew
- 1 bowl Tomatoes
- 2 No. Green chillies
- 1¼ tbsp. Salt
- ½ tbsp. Cumin seeds
- 4 No. Cinnamon sticks
- 6 No. Cloves
- 4 No. Green cardamom
- 3 No. Bay leaves
- ½ tbsp. Ginger garlic paste
- ½ tbsp. Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp. Red chilli powder
- ½ tbsp. Coriander powder
- 250 ml. Water
- ½ tbsp. Garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp. Coriander leaves
Instructions
- First slice tomatoes, onions, green chillies, paneer and coriander leaves.
By adding salt, all above ingredients cook fast and become soft in a minute or two and keep aside till they are cooled.
Meanwhile, fry paneer cubes till they turn golden brown and keep aside.
By now above spices might be cooled, so blend them to a soft paste.
- In a vessel, heat oil and add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks, ginger garlic paste and bay leaves.
- Sprinkle salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
- Mix all ingredients and cook for a minute till they are cooked.
- In order to get soft dilute gravy and add paneer cubes and cook till cubes become soft and absorb spices by covering with a lid.
At last, sprinkle little garam masala powder and cook for a second.

How to make Restaurant Style Paneer Masala Recipe:
- Heat 4 tbsp. oil in a Kadai and onion pieces, cashew and tomato pieces.
- Add green chillies and a little salt, and mix well.
- Cook for a minute or two with the lid covered till onions and tomatoes turn soft.
- In a separate pan, heat oil and add paneer pieces.
Tip: Cut into one-inch pieces so that they can be fried easily.
- Fry them on medium heat till they turn golden brown.
- Transfer them to another bowl and keep them aside.
- In a grinder add onion and tomato pieces and make a paste.
- Again in a Kadai add 2 tbsp. oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- Add cloves, bay leaves and ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a while.
- Add blended tomato, cashew and onion paste.
- Sprinkle turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and coriander powder, and mix well.
- Cook for a minute with the lid covered.
- Add water so that you get dilute gravy which helps fried paneer pieces absorb flavours.
- Put fried paneer pieces and cook for a minute or two with a lid covered.
- Sprinkle garam masala powder and cook for a minute.
- Serve in a serving bowl and garnish Paneer Masala Recipe with coriander leaves.
