Ingredients

  • Mirchi Vada – 1 No.
  • Mur Mur/ puffed rice – 1 big bowl
  • Red chili powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Salt – ½ tbsp.
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Chat masala – ¾ tbsp.
  • Jeera/ cumin powder – ¼ tbsp.
  • Rock salt – ½ tbsp.
  • Onions – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Fried peanuts – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Fried corn flakes – 3 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp.
  • Tomato – 2 tbsp.
  • Lemon extract – 1 tbsp.

Instructions

  1. To make this recipe easy, first slice mirchi vada, onions and tomatoes into small pieces. Optionally we may even add grated carrot or cucumber.
  2. In a large vessel (it becomes convenient to mix all ingredients), add puffed rice, onions and tomatoes. (If you are adding any more veggies add them)
  3. Sprinkle red chili powder, turmeric powder, chat masala, salt, jeera powder and rock salt.
  4. To give nutty flavor add fried peanuts and corn flakes. (We may add mixture at this time)
  5. Add lemon extract to give a tangy flavor. Mix all ingredients.
  6. Muntha masala recipe tends to get soft if we keep it aside, so serve immediately.

How to make muntha masala recipe:

1.  Cut mirchi vada into small pieces and keep them aside. In a large mixing bowl, add puffed rice, red chili powder and salt.

Add cut mirchi, puffed rice, red chilli powder and salt.

2.  Add a pinch of turmeric powder, chat masala, jeera powder and rock salt.
