Malai Kofta Curry Microwave | How To make Malai Kofta Curry in Restaurant Style
Malai Kofta Curry is one of the popular vegetarian dish found in most of the Indian restaurants. It is usually made with potatoes, malai (cream) and koftas (fried rolls).
This recipe is one of the North Indian dishes which are prepared throughout India during special events, marriages and other parties because it is considered a rich dish.

Malai Kofta Curry Microwave | How To make Malai Kofta Curry in Restaurant Style
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 5 medium sized
- Paneer – 100 gms.
- Green chilies – 100 gms. Finely chopped
- Corn flour – 4 tbsp.
- Raisins – ¼ cup.
- Salt – as per taste
- For Gravy:
- Oil – 3 tbsp.
- Onions – 3 finely chopped
- Ginger garlic paste – 4 tsp.
- Green chilies – 2 cut into small pieces
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp.
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp.
- Tomato puree- ½ cup
- Green chilly powder – 1 tbsp.
- Khova – 1 tbsp.
- Fresh cream – ½ cup
- Garam masala powder – 1 tbsp.
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp.
- Salt – as per taste
- Water – 1 ½ cups.
Instructions
How to Make Malai Kofta Curry:
- Boil potatoes and remove skin, cut into pieces.
- Mix potatoes, paneer, green chilies, corn flour and salt.
- Make 16 balls and roll them.
- Place them in a tray such a way that they should be one above another.
- Microwave cook for 6 minutes at 180-degree centigrade.
- Once koftas are cooked keep them aside.
- Add 2 tsp. oil in microwave safe bowl and add onion slices.
- Without keeping lid cook onions for 7 minutes on high.
- Add ginger garlic paste, green chilies, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, tomato puree, red chilly powder, khova and half cup water for gravy.
- Mix all together and cook for 8 minutes in the microwave on high without placing lid.
- Add fresh cream and garam masala powder. Mix well.
- Add koftas and one cup water to above mix.
- Continue cooking for 4 minutes without a lid.
- Malai kofta curry is ready. Serve hot by garnishing coriander leaves.
