Tips to make the perfect Fish Egg Vada Recipe:
- While cleaning fish egg membranes one should take care while cleaning them. If the membrane breaks eggs get released and washed out.
- We add besan flour to bind the eggs and give a thick batter. Most of the time we get medium consistency like a cake batter.
- When we put the batter in the oil, although we feel it’s loose when fried, it turns out to be crispy.
- Adding rice flour will give it a crispy texture.

Ingredients
- Fish Eggs – 250 gms.
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp.
- Salt – ½ tbsp.
- Kashmiri Red chilli powder – ¼ tbsp.
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp.
- Garam masala powder – ½ tbsp.
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp.
- Onions – ½ cup
- Green chillies – 1 tbsp.
- Besan flour – 2 tbsp.
- Mint leaves – 1 tbsp.
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp.
- Rice flour – 1 tbsp.
Instructions
- Gently clean the fish row and put it in a mixing bowl.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste.
- Continue adding green chillies, onions, mint leaves, coriander leaves and besan flour. Mix well.
- To give crispy texture add a spoon of rice flour or cornflour and mix.
- Heat oil and put the batter in such a way that their output comes disc-shaped vada.
- Flip to the other side and cook on low to medium flame till they turn a crisp and golden brown in colour.
- Drain excess oil and put it over a kitchen towel so that excess oil is absorbed.
- Serve fish egg vada recipe with onions as a tea time snack.

How to make Fish Egg Vada Recipe:
1. Gently clean fish eggs and put them in a mixing bowl, add turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder.
2. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste and sliced onions.
3. Put finely sliced green chillies, besan flour, mint leaves and coriander leaves.
4. Mix all ingredients and based on the consistency add rice flour and mix well.
5. Heat oil in a pan and bring it to the optimum temperature to fry vada.
6. Although the batter seems to be loose, take a small portion of the batter and gently put it in oil.
7. Once they semi cook, flip to the other side and fry till they turn a golden brown colour.
8. Remove from oil and drain excess oil. Transfer the fish egg vada recipe over a kitchen towel and serve hot.
