We all know that eggs are available across the globe and are one of the rich sources of protein. Even a dumb can make an omelet by simply adding a little salt and oil to fry.
An egg can be consumed in different ways, it can be boiled and had like breakfast, can be used for binding snacks or can be used in making cakes and other recipes.
An omelette can be made either by adding veggies, spice powders or leafy vegetables. In this modern era, people like to have this recipe as breakfast placed between a loaf of bread.
Indians like to have as a side dish with plain rice or with chapatti or roti. Based on the location, people like to add spices and available ingredients to make this recipe.
As said earlier even a dumb person can make omelettes but the flavouring is again an art of cooking. Usually, when we pour an egg beat over a pan, we tend to spread over it. In this scenario, we get thin and non-puffy output.
If you are planning to make it puffy then we can either drag the edges inside so that we get ripple or a wave inside or we can simply add little water or milk while whisking the egg.

- Adding finely sliced onions and green chillies will bond the egg omelette rather than adding big pieces of onions.
- Pouring a little water will make omelet rise like a puff.
- Adding ingredients and water before adding eggs will make the ingredients mix well.
- Once omelette mix is done, before pouring it over a pan, make sure that the pan is not overheated as we get colour even before it’s cooked.
- People who feel egg gives a stinking smell can add a small quantity of turmeric powder to avoid such odor.
- If we want a thin version then spread it over a pan but if you need puffy then let it set on low flame and coon on both sides.

Egg Omelette – An omelette is one of the simple recipes which can be made by just beating egg and frying on a pan.
Ingredients
- Eggs – 2 No.
- Onions – ½ bowl finely sliced
- Green chillies – 1 tbsp. finely sliced onions
- Ginger garlic paste – ¼ tbsp.
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp.
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tbsp.
- Salt – ¼ tbsp.
- Water – 3 tbsp.
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp.
Instructions
- Prepare ingredients before we start making this recipe. First finely slice onions, green chillies and coriander leaves.
- In a mixing bowl, add sliced green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, salt, ginger garlic paste and red chilli powder.
- Add water or milk to mix all ingredients before adding eggs.
- Now beat 2-3 eggs and add coriander leaves. If you like we can even add little oil in this mix and whisk well with the help of a fork.
- In a pan spread oil and heat to moderate temperature. Pour egg mixture and spread.
- Cook on low flame till its set and flip to another side so that there is no raw flavour.
- Egg Omelette tastes great when served hot either with bread or with chapatti.

How to Make Egg Omelette:
1. In a bowl add finely sliced onions, finely sliced green chillies, ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder.
2. Add red chilli powder, salt, water and mix well.
3. Break 2 eggs and sprinkle coriander leaves and mix well.
4. Heat oil in a pan, pour the egg mix over the pan and spread evenly.
5. Cook Egg Omelette on low flame till cooks and raises like a puff and flip to the other side and cook on low flame. Serve hot.
