Easy Bread Omelette Recipe Street Style: 5 Minute Breakfast
The Bread Omelette Recipe is one of a simple breakfast recipe that can be made in minutes with basic ingredients like bread, eggs and optional spices.
As this is one of the easy and quick recipes, it has become popular on the streets. One can find this recipe during evenings along with pani puri and Chinese foods.
To sell their food people experiment with ingredients and customize them by adding cheese, veggies and spice powders.
Bread slices are roasted either in ghee or oil to give it a crunchy flavour. Roasting not only kills fungus formed over it but also gives flavour to it. I agree most of the time we use a fresh slice of bread but in case if you are using an old one it helps.
If you are planning to make this recipe for children then and let them have it fresh this is not recommended to make this recipe for the lunch boxes.
To make it interesting to my children even I do experiment with this recipe. Sometimes, I make this recipe as a usual bread omelette and sometimes I make a masala version and use it as a Bread Omelette Sandwich.
If you are health-conscious, you can make use of brown bread but my children don’t like them. They always like to have normal milk bread. My children like cheese, so sometimes I even add it to them.
TIPS to make perfect Bread Omelette Recipe:
- While breaking eggs make sure that their shells are discarded.
- As we have already added red chilli powder, adjust the spiciness of green chillies as per your taste.
- We can add finely sliced tomatoes to get a tangling flavour but adding more veggies will decrease egg bonding capability which in turn breaks while lifting it.
- Roasting bread slices in ghee will not only give the bread a crispy crust but also give additional flavour.
- Few like to add a bit of water or milk to get a puffy omelette but it will shrink once it’s removed from heat.
- People who like to have a Bread Omelette Sandwich can add a few tomatoes and cheese.
- If you want to experiment with this recipe we can add chilli sauce, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, or tomato sauce. But we need to adjust other ingredients as per the number of extra ingredients we add.
