Banana Lassi Recipe is one of the popular North Indian yogurt-based drinks. Especially when it comes to Punjab people like to make many variants of lassi to have instant energy.
To other parts of the world, it is a kind of milkshake or smoothie blend with yogurt and fruits. Lassi can be in both salts as well as sweetened. In the case of the salted version, we have salt and other spices whereas in sweetened, we may add fruits like mango, banana and even rose water.

Banana Lassi Recipe | How to make Banana Lassi Recipe with Tips
BananaLassi is one of the popular North Indian yoghurt based drinks. Especially when it comes to Punjab people like to make many variants of lassi and have like an instant energy drink.
Ingredients
- Banana – 2 No. ripe bananas tastes great.
- Sugar – 3 tbsp.
- Yoghurt/ Curd – 1 cup
- Ice cubes – 8 No.
Instructions
- Always use ripe banana to our recipe, slice banana into small pieces and put them in a blender.
- Based on the variant and sweetness of banana adjust sugar levels.
- Use fresh and sweet yoghurt to our recipe, add 1 cup to the blender to give smooth and thick texture.
- Add ice cubes and blend for a minute.
- Usually, Banana Lassi tastes great when it’s fresh, so serve it fresh and chilled.

How to make Banana Lassi Recipe:
- Slice ripe bananas and transfer them to the blender.
- Based on the sweetness of the banana add sugar. In our case, I have used chakkarakeli variety.
- Whether you use yogurt or curd, it doesn’t matter. We have used 1 cup of yogurt.
Note: If the curd is sour, flavour might change. It’s better to use fresh yogurt.
- We have used ice cubes to chill the Banana Lassi Recipe. If you like, you can avoid or skip ice cubes at this stage and refrigerate to chill.
Note: Usually, Banana turns its colour when not consumed immediately. So it’s a better idea to use ice cubes while blending to stop its colour and has chilled immediately.
- Blend to make lassi. Usually, it takes less than a minute.
Tip: While adding ice cubes, if you increase their quantity, lassi may become loose. If you want its consistency thick then reduce them as per your taste.
- Banana Lassi Recipe tastes great when served immediately and chilled.
